Umbrellas Are In Fashion Again

Shivers me timbers…
It’s so freaking cold. The monsoon season has arrived, it’s raining cats and dogs. As I sit here in my office I see the rain fall. I love the rain. In fact, I love anything cold. Don’t give me sunshine unless I’m at the beach in my swimsuit. Forget about the sun, we’re talking about my favourite weather here. Rain. I know, when it rains it can be a hassle because we can’t take our time walking. We basically need to run to get where we want. Then again, what are umbrella’s for? Oh, what are raincoats for?
Everytime it rains I always remember that childrens song about rain.
Rain, rain, go away
Come again another day
We want to go outside and play
Come again another day
I used to sing this song alot when I was a child. I don’t sing it anymore because I love the rain. I remember when I was younger and when it rained, I’d run into the house grab my yellow raincoat (yes, yellow!) and my yellow boots (yes, yellow again!) then played outside for as long the rain fell. I used to love jumping on puddles too, make paperboats and float them on the puddle. I would watch it flow. Ah…childhood days…
The last time I played in the rain was during my college years. My friends and I were at between classes when it started to rain. We all had our umbrellas but we all got wet anyway as it poured rather heavily. We ended up playing under the rain behind our college building. We were laughing, screaming and singing in the rain! *smiling to myself* I miss my friends.
*snaps back to reality*
It’s drizzling now..I doubt it’s going to stop raining today. We’ve got grey clouds all over.
It’s nice. The rain.
